This natural chemical is adenosine triphosphate, or ATP. ATP is the actual chemical produced at the mitochondria cell level that powers our every thought, movement and action- it is literally the energy of life. You can click here to see a schematic of a mitochondria.

Due to mitochondrial sensequence (or decline) in aging, (which is accelerated in disorders such as multiple sclerosis), ATP production declines. However, the body and brain's demand for ATP is immense and ATP stored supplies are very limited.

Thus ATP supplements can increase physical energy levels, improve muscle strength and endurance and have even been shown to lessen back pain and problems and increase the range of mobility in the elderly.

It has known that the only effective way to utilize ATP is either as an injection or sublingually, (under the tongue). ATP oral supplements have no known side effects or contraindications.

If taken before a work-out, individuals often utilize 10mg to 40mg. But on a daily basis 2mg to 6mg sublingually can be taken two or three times a day.
