We currently offer a saliva based hormone test kit that can be used to test for EITHER testosterone, estradiol, DHEA, cortisol, DHT, estrone, androstenedione or progesterone.

It works like this: you purchase the kit and when you receive it you follow the simple instructions and choose the hormone you want analyzed.

You also fill in a questionnaire with some basic personal information that enables the analysis to be completed. You tell the laboratory on the form which of the eight hormones you want analyzed, if you want all four analyzed you will need 4-test kits etc.

The sample is then sent off to the American based lab, there are no other charges! If you want to have one or more of the other hormones tested at the same time, then you can complete the order form inside the package, additional hormones are charged for at just $20 each.

Persons living in the US also get a free mail service to send their sample to the laboratory. Persons living outside the USA will need to pay for shipping and must ensure that the service they use does not take longer than 7-days.

Once with the laboratory the sample is analyzed within 7-10 working days and the results are sent directly back to you.

Recently, it has been discovered that saliva-based tests are more accurate for testing for some hormones than blood tests! This is because saliva-based tests only measure the free-hormone (i.e. not hormones bound with proteins). This is important because it is (for example) free testosterone that is active and not the bound testosterone that is often only monitored in blood.

Therefore for those hormones that can be measured with this kit, (cortisol, DHEA, estradiol, testosterone, estrone, androstenedione, DHT and progesterone), this kit offers an accurate, simple and effective way to see in which direction your hormones are going. It also enables you to check the effectiveness of your hormonal based supplements.

Before You Start:
To ensure the accuracy of Andro-CHECK, please observe the following:

Collect saliva between 6 A.M. and 9 A.M
One hour prior to each salivary collection, do not eat, brush teeth or use mouthwash. Also, do not consume caffeine or substances containing nicotine until after the saliva has been collected. You may drink only water during the hour prior to collection.

Special Notes:

If you are taking and/or testing for pregnenolone, progesterone, cortisol, DHEA, androstenedione, androstenediol, testosterone, estrone, estriol, estradiol or any other steroid hormone:

Make sure you have been taking these supplements for at least one month prior to collection. Specimens collected too soon do not accurately reflect your true hormone concentrations in the saliva.

Collect the specimen at least 12 hours after the last dose, preferably in the morning, before the first daily dose is taken.

NOTE: to ensure the reliability of your results, the lab must receive samples within 7 to 10 days. For international shipments, freeze the samples and send by an expedited carrier.

You can expect to receive a written report of your salivary hormone test results within 7 to 10 days after the lab receives your sample.

Saliva Collection:

Step 1. Rinse your mouth completely with cold water and spit. Wait five minutes. During collection, do not cough or clear your throat water into the collection tubes. If necessary, you may chew the Para film gum provided to stimulate salivation. After peeling off the printed-paper, chew only the clear waxy part until saliva flows. This may take three to five minutes. Discard Para film into wastebasket.

Step 2. Use the collector tube provided to collect your saliva. It is important that you provide five mls of liquid, not foam. Insufficient saliva samples cannot be processed.

Step 3. Make sure you replace the cap tightly to prevent leakage. Write the date and time of sampling directly on the collection tube.

Step 4. Place the tube in the biohazard bag provided.

Step 5. Enclose the biohazard bag, along with the completed and signed Andro-CHECK Request Form, in the return box provided. Secure the box with the pre- paid mailing label provided. Plan to return the samples on the final day of collection. If you are not able to do this, refrigerate the samples overnight and mail the next day.
